Densely Sampled Global Dynamic Topographic Observations and Their Significance

چکیده
Topography and bathymetry are principally supported by some combination of crustal sub-crustal density variations. However, dynamic topography is generated vertical deflection the Earth's surface as a result mantle convection. Isolating quantifying observable yields valuable information about processes. Here, we investigate global calculating residual depth anomalies throughout oceanic realm topographic across continents. Efficient computation of densely sampled wavelet transforms
An efficient algorithm is presented for computing the continuous wavelet transform and the wideband ambiguity function on a sample grid with uniform time spacing but arbitrary sampling in scale. The method is based on the chirp z-transform and requires the same order of computation as constant-bandwidth analysis techniques, such as the short-time Fourier transform and the narrowband ambiguity f...
متن کاملA densely sampled core and climate variable aliasing
Undersampled records are susceptible to aliasing, in which a high frequency appears incorrectly as a lower one. We study the sampling requirements in a core taken from Rockall Trough using bulk density, P-wave velocity, and magnetic susceptibility as measured on an automated system. At 2-cm spacing (approximately 33 years in this core), all variables show a characteristic red-noise behavior, bu...
متن کاملCombining Densely Sampled Form and Motion for Human Action Recognition
We present a method for human action recognition from video, which exploits both form (local shape) and motion (local flow). Inspired by models of the human visual system, the two feature sets are processed independently in separate channels. The form channel extracts a dense local shape representation from every frame, while the motion channel extracts dense optic flow from the frame and its i...
متن کاملDatasets and Benchmarks for Densely Sampled 4D Light Fields
We present a new benchmark database to compare and evaluate existing and upcoming algorithms which are tailored to light field processing. The data is characterised by a dense sampling of the light fields, which best fits current plenoptic cameras and is a characteristic property not found in current multi-view stereo benchmarks. It allows to treat the disparity space as a continuous space, and...
متن کاملSome Observations on Dirac Measure-Preserving Transformations and their Results
Dirac measure is an important measure in many related branches to mathematics. The current paper characterizes measure-preserving transformations between two Dirac measure spaces or a Dirac measure space and a probability measure space. Also, it studies isomorphic Dirac measure spaces, equivalence Dirac measure algebras, and conjugate of Dirac measure spaces. The equivalence classes of a Dirac ...
